Caryn White Stedman is an independent artist, painter, weaver and jewelry-maker. She works out of her home studio in the shadow of Thimble Peak in the Catalinas, hence the name of her studio, Thimble Peak Studio.
She has lived and travelled all over the world and her work reflects the influences of the many cultures and artistic traditions which she has experienced. Her studio home is in the desert Southwest and much of her art reflects this unique and beautiful environment.
She prefers to paint in acrylic on canvas. Her works include still-life, figure and landscape and all are inspired by the desert southwest. Many of her paintings feature Thimble Peak.
In addition to being a member of the Southern Arizona Arts Guild (SAAG), Caryn Stedman is a juried member of the Tucson Handweavers and Spinners Guild (THSG).
